Casa Romaneasca

Welcome to Casa Romaneasca, a culinary gem nestled at 2 Sebastopol Road, London. This delightful restaurant specializes in traditional Romanian cuisine, offering a warm embrace of flavors that transport you straight to Romania with each bite.

From the moment you step inside, you're greeted by an inviting atmosphere where the essence of Romania is palpable. The menu showcases an impressive selection of dishes, each thoughtfully crafted with authentic recipes and quality ingredients. Whether you're a fan of savory meats, hearty soups, or delectable salads, Casa Romaneasca has something to satisfy every palate.

  • Salate Casa Romaneasca: The Salata Vinete (Eggplant salad) is a must-try, with its rich, smoky flavor that perfectly complements the freshness of the other salads, like the traditional Salata Boeuf (Russian salad).
  • Preparate Pui Si Porc: Their grilled dishes are exquisite. The Ceafa De Porc La Gratar (Pork neck on the grill) presents a succulent and flavorful experience, while the Pulpa Dezosata De Pui La Gratar (Boneless chicken legs) is simply irresistible.
  • Specialtatea Casei: For an unforgettable feast, try the Scarita De Porc (Pork ribs with barbeque) served with horseradish and garlic sauce—a true crowd-pleaser and perfect for sharing.
  • Soups: Don't miss out on the comforting flavors of their Ciorba De Burta (Tripe soup) or the flavorful Ciorba Perisoare (Meatball soup). They offer a hearty start to any meal.
  • Desserts: Treat yourself with their delightful Papanasi (Cheese dumplings), which add a sweet finish to your dining experience.

The experience is enhanced by the friendly staff, who strive to create a welcoming environment for everyone. Many guests have noted the pleasant service, which makes each visit special. However, it’s worth mentioning that while the restaurant is highly praised for its food and ambiance, there have been occasional complaints about service speed and food quality variability.

Overall, Casa Romaneasca stands out as a wonderful culinary destination in London. Their commitment to traditional Romanian dishes and the vibrant atmosphere makes it a perfect choice for anyone looking to savor authentic cuisine. As Nicki Appleby aptly puts it, "Anyone is welcome here, and you should really visit, whatever your nationality!"

A wonderful Romanian Restaurant. The food was delicious, the service was great and the prices can't be beaten. The lovely waitress was friendly and helpful, just a pity her English was poor.Anyone is welcome here and you should really visit, whatever your nationality.Parking: Free parking at the front, but remember to put your reg number in the computer.

Usually I always go here to have a traditional soup and meal, unfortunately today I had my worse experience at this placeFood quality dropped a lot since about a month ago when I visited last timeOne of the soup had flies on it, the roast potatoes were completely cold and food taste less and the wine was full of residue and average.Worst at the end of the evening all was still on my bill to payDefinitely not going back and not recommended

Was here to celebrate a friends birthday over the Easter weekend. Lovely place and atmosphere. Venue is great size to cater for a large party. Free parking for guests inside the premises and a lot of space for the kids to play outside. I wasn't sure if I heard a guest say there were swings outside? If so, that's great to keep kids entertained. Food was great too. I especially loved their roast steak and chicken with baby potatoes and sauted cabbage sauce. Will recommend

Me,hubby and our daughter went there first time earlier on tonight.Perfect, secure parking.Marius he was an excellent gentleman,he was positive and gave us time to order,no rushing order,We ordered a course meal, soups and "platou" the food, presentation, service was excellent, all our soup bowls where empty, thanks to chef and kitchen staff, you must try palinca and visibata before you dig in,plus Romanian beer. The family platter you must try, comes with mici(traditional Romanian sausage),pork shoulders, and all the sauces and mustard , types of sides,we ordered Dauphines potatoes and vegetable rice.My daughter absolutely loved the homemade leonade, which was made to order, asking us how sweet ,or not, which I find excellent,as in other places they just make you a lemonade without asking you the options.Lastly we had our pudding called 'papanasi" it is in a portion (big one),that is why we only ordered one portion for the of us,is sweet pastry, either with chocolate or fruit filling or you can have mixed and it comes with really nice cream.%we deffo go back.Really nice atmosphere, excellent food, customer service, highly recommend and price wise is goodShame I don't know how to upload photo
